His Christmas Dinners and New Year's Day parties, co-hosted with Peter McNally, were well attended and much appreciated. In Montreal, he enjoyed an equally wide circle of friends, many associated with the Supper Club, the Opimian Society, and local antiquarian book dealers. Particular friends included Elizabeth Noseworthy and Mack Furlong Glenn's cousin, Robert Tilley and Brenda Tilley Karen Webber and Fred Winsor and Haakon Webber Winsor Joy Tillotson Gary Maynard and Marian Walsh Colleen Shea and Jack Foley Joan Ritcey and Klaus Hye-Knudsen Philip Hiscock and Cathie Horan Marian Norris and David Burley Jim Thistle and Roger Pickavance – among others. Irregulars, and the Old Christmas Day Revellers - 'with a cup of tea on a beach or a pork pie on the barrens.' He was a founding member of a biker group, the 'Sesamee Street Riders,' that did not take itself seriously, and a local chapter of CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale. In St John's, after working at youth hostels Glenn gravitated to the book business, serving as manager at WH Smith and Classics bookstores. At McGill University he received an MLIS'98 in Archival Studies. Glenn was educated at Bishops College high school (St John's) and Memorial University BA'75 & '95, studying Psychology, Archaeology, and History. The son of Harvey and Mary (Tilley) Brown, Glenn is survived by his brother Grant and nieces Shannon (Mike) and Megan (Neil). Born Januin St John's Newfoundland, Glenn Brown died in Montreal, Quebec, February 23, 2023.
